LAVA Interactive Demo System
I was tasked to find a way to showcase and share technology demos across our 12 global locations. I turned to Adobe’s tools for an interactive networked solution that allowed custom functionality and unlimited capacity to deliver on this demand.
LAVA was a custom interactive touch-screen system networked across 12 global locations featuring videos of local research projects happening in each location.
Showcased in the main meeting space on a 126” plasma touchscreen. Often how teams shared updates with the rest of their research partners or visitors.
Flash framework run through an Air player, allowing networked systems to distribute updates via the core XML data source; all custom coded for our team’s needs.
Custom admin interface that allowed users to create custom playlists, and filter screens to allow users to narrow demos based on locations, technology timing and internal research categories.
Nokia’s CTO, Henri Tirri, hailed LAVA as one of our team’s major accomplishments and even requested to have his own system installed in his office.
